They say that men love blondes more than brunettes, but that doesn’t appear to be the case for Mad Men’s beauty Elisabeth Moss. She has promised that she will go back to brunette when she returns to Mad Men. There is a god!
So, yes, it would seem that going blonde has panicked the fans of Elisabeth and also those of the show but she released a statement, saying that we needn’t worry. Which is a bit ridiculous, no? Especially as there are wigs and weaves that could help her character, Peggy Olson, return to her former self.

What has been interesting, though, is how quickly we’ve been to group her together with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Alexandre Burke and others who have decided to dye their hair blonde. Miley Cyrus has also been called a trendsetter with her new locks, but I can’t see why Moss would be inclined to follow in the footsteps of Miley, no. If we look at the cut of Moss, there are moments of Twiggy and even a touch of the late Paula Yates, going on in there, and channelling the spirit of Twiggy is never a bad thing, now is it? And, then, there is the saying that blondes are more fun… and, yes, it’s true that they do (according to their portrayal in media and also if we take Kristen Stewart as an example), but Elisabeth Moss won’t be caught running around, wearing a bikini, giggling, anytime soon.

The only problem that people have had with it, it would seem, is with regards to the character in the hit TV show Mad Men… and that’s kind of it. So, go for it, Elisabeth. But, if you’re hoping to get some info about an up and coming feature film, well, there is the big screen flick of Walter Salles ‘On the Road’. She stars along side Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley in a film at the Beat Generation and their search for ‘It’, which takes them cross-country and through one hell of an adventure. It could be said that she is playing to her strengths and sticking to period based projects. Elisabeth did step out of this role early this year with ‘Darling Companion’, which received lukewarm reviews, sadly.
So, if you like what you see and appreciate her skills as an actress, then you haven’t got long to wait for ‘On The Road’ which goes world wide as of September, followed by season 6 of Mad Men. Rumours are that she is going to be leaving the show. Tissues at the ready.
