The DG SS13 front row women are the essence of femininity
Women are multi faceted creatures: we have different looks, characters and callings in life. Dolce&Gabbana know this well, and understand it. Any glamazon is attracted by the differing styles and silhouettes the brand creates each season, displaying the the Dolce&Gabbana woman is many things, but above all feminine.
Laetita Casta looked like a dream in a mikado tuxedo at the Dolce&Gabbana SS13 fashion show. In representation of the unique talent that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have of decking a woman in masculine clothes yet making her femininity emerge through the tailoring.
Marpessa Hennink, Dolce&Gabbana’s first muse is feminine and fun. Her extroverted nature and unique looks were well matched to a rust coloured lace shift dress with ruffled sleeves. Dolce&Gabbana can dress the older woman who doesn’t want the rigorous look and still wants to retain a strong element of fun.
Bianca Balti, model, famed beauty and mother. Despite her perfect figure she is a mother, and well, Dolce&Gabbana know how to dress mothers, young and not so young. In a demure organza shift dress, sheer, but not vulgar, body-con but not constricting, Bianca looked like the modern embodiment of Mother Nature: sophisticated and feminine.
Italian actress, eco champion and wife of dreamy Colin, Livia Firth is an intelligent, ambitious and strong woman. In a figure flattering black damask dress, the rigorous lines represent her character, while the shape of the dress, well emphasized her femininity.
Bianca Brandolini d’Adda is a young and beautiful Italian socialite. Fun, extravagant and very feminine, the lace and cross-stitched roses mini dress embodied everything about her, and in many ways Dolce&Gabbana as a brand.
