Swide Festival's backstage Campioni, by Roberto Ortu

For Swide Festival Robero Ortu gets close to the action at the Campioni photo shoot revealing a lot of the footballers' personalities that Domenico Dolce was hoping to capture in his stills.

Roberto Ortu is a young art director from Sardinia, Italy. Interested in the relationship between shape and the body and how they can be combined to create something new, Roberto deals with the subjects using body mapping technology or temporary tattoos.

Roberto realised for Swide Festival, an artistic product taking inspiration from the backstage footage of the Campioni photo shoot. Monochrome black and white with film burn effects assigned to the video material properties, pay homage to artistic choices made by Domenico Dolce in his photos.

Ortu delivers an up-close and personal take of the view from behind the camera as Domenico Dolce uses his camera to coax the personalities of these bright young stars. A more intimate interpretation of the backstage experience leaves with a feeling that you were there too.
