The godfather of film is gearing up for a phenomenal 2013, with his next project The Wolf of Wall Street. Other projects are also looming, Revenge of the Green Dragon and Sinatra, but little is known about them. The thought of all this Scorsese action is getting Swide excited.

His new film has only just started filming and there are already shots of the cast and crew onsite, including Scorsese doing what he does best and giving direction. The cast is delicious, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Gene Hackman, Jonah Hill and Jon Favreau. DiCaprio has worked with the director before in The Departed (2006) and Shutter Island (2010), a telling sign that Scorsese trusts the actor’s skills in front of the camera.
The
lovely Martin Scorsese onset
The Wolf of Wall Street circles around Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio), a Long Island stockbroker who served 20 months in prison for refusing to cooperate during a securities fraud case that involved mayhem on Wall Street back in the 1990s. The corruption ran so deep that signs that the mob had infiltrated the system were evident. The world of Wall Street also involved drugs, hookers, parties and performing midgets, something that is we’ll hopefully be seeing.
The Wolf of Wall Street is based on the book written by Jordan Belfort himself and his life of excess and big money making.
Matthew
McConaughey looking gaunt onset
And that’s kind of all we’ve got for now, although one thing that is apparent is the dramatic weight loss that McConaughey appears to have been through. Matthew reassured press that this has been due to a role that he’ll be playing in an up and coming film The Dallas Buyer’s Club, in which he plays a sick man. Still it’s sad to see a guy become a shadow of his former self.
A release date is yet to be set for Martin Scorsese's film but Swide will be keeping a close eye it,
