Who is Wyclef Jean?

Introducing himself to a generation that's yet to hear of the Fugees, (and could help perhaps explain the pose above), Wyclef is offering fans the option to download tracks from his forthcoming album directly from his blog.

WYCLEF JEAN: I signed an autograph for a kid..Clef from the Fugees..the kid looked at me and said “What the hell is a “Fugee? Ain’t you Will.I.Am from the Peas?”

Perhaps it was the If you've never heard of the Fugees, you're missing a trick. If you have - it's time for a flashback to 1996 and the Fugee's very fine track "Ready or not?"

Wyclef's new album “Wyclef Jean” is set for release in January 2010, but in the meantime singles from the upcoming album can be downloaded via his site at wyclefjean.wordpress.com. Wyclef is also on Twitter twitter.com/Wyclef.
