With Fresh Prince star Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett Smith for parents, there’s little surprise that Willow has talent, but with her debut single ‘Whip My Hair’ hitting number 11 on the US Billboard chart, we recommend that you sit up and take note of the coolest kid of the moment.

As well as a voice to beat Beyonce’s, Willow has been causing a stir in fashion circles for quite a while now – she accompanied her mother to the Dolce&Gabbana fashion show in September and attracted just as much attention as the “grown-up” members of the audience with her fierce new Mohawk hairstyle.  Never one to shy away from a style statement, her outfits are quickly edging towards the avant-garde status usually awarded to stars like Rihanna. Recent outings have included yellow leather arm harnesses, leopard print harem pants with gold chains and more biker boots than a gang of Hells Angels.

However, she still has the playful charm of a ten year old, treating each day like a dress-up game – it’s not often that you’ll spot this one in jeans and a t-shirt (unless the t-shirt is artfully ripped and customised, of course).

 Willow has more A-list friends than most adult stars can dream of – she’s signed to Jay Z’s record label Roc Nation, and recently appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show, a prestige usually reserved for the upper echelons of showbiz society. Not that her parents would let stardom go to her head – after a recent photo shoot with W Magazine, the editorial staff received a handwritten letter from Willow to thank them for their work. The girl has style, talent and manners –she’s a triple threat and not even hit puberty.  In the words of Willow herself, “can’t none of them whip it like I do”, and we can only agree.
