Gwyneth Paltrow is Elle U.K's new cover star for the ever so important March and fashion issue - on newsstands NOW.

Aside from looking hot to trot (wow!)... The hair, the legs, and the SS09 Dolce & Gabbana look - she also sets the record straight about, well - everything.

"I'm probably less square than people think", she declares to Elle's Craig McLean. (We love the fact she addresses the boring rumours head on), going on to add, and dare we say it controversially...

"I wish smoking didn't kill you. And you know what I had the other day which I loved? A French Martini. I had one too many", she reveals.

When Elle asks her what prompted her to chop her famous waist length hair last year, she recalls in an ever so un-Gwyneth manner (or rather as the Gwyneth we used to think we knew)...

"My hairstylist, an old friend, was brushing my hair and I was like, 'F*ck this hair! Cut my hair."

As Elle magazine quite rightly adds, this is, "not a reaction you'd expect from the woman who's life appears from the outside at least to be carefully mapped out."
