In pre-Chace times, Zac was our ultimate underage obsession. He then morphed into Zaquisha and we lost interest… Could this no-singing all-acting film revive the flame?
These days however our man seems to be doing quite well for himself and word is he might even be a capable actor! On Monday was the NYC premiere of “Orson Welles and Me”, the period which sees young Zac as “Me”, the ballsy debutant who walks on the set of young Orson Welles’ “Julius Ceasar” and does end up getting the small but crucial part. Even the Guardian reckons “Efron is a revelation”. Also staring is Claire Danes as Sonja, set décor and occasional geisha. Check out the trailer below.
As for the rest of the rich, young and beautiful in attendance it was rather a case of the usual suspects as we spotted quite a few of the Manhattanite faces already seen last week at the New Moon screening: Amber Rose in Dolce & Gabbana, who was applauded for her newfound elegance (we wouldn’t have bet on it either); posh toast of New York Lydia Hearst in a darling little champagne number by D&G (what’s more chic than matching your party dress to your cocktail!); no photo-op is ever complete these days without Olivia Palermo, who may have looked ever-so-slightly miserable in last week’s vampire black.
