Let's talk about S... NOW, the latest powdery thing on every fashionista's mind. Talk of blizzard and various stormy delights has been causing much despair amongst NY Fashion Week attendees as many wonder which stiletto height is safest in the snow...
Many a Briton has been teased for their keenness to talk about the weather but nowadays it is all fashionisras and celebrities seem to be tweeting about.
Case in point looking at a selection from yesterday's tweets:
Lady Gaga: My fans are waiting in the blizzard at 5 am in new york. I love u!
Dita Von Teese: Big beautiful snowflakes falling on Paris!! (Ah, l'amour.)
Paris Hilton: It's snowing so hard here. Really Beautiful but really cold too. (Paris the city brings out the best in Paris the online intellectual.)

Rachel Zoe: Headed to work in NYC winter wonderland! Brrrr....xoRZ (Anyone hungry for some rum raisin ice cream?)

Are a few snowflakes reason enough for the fashion industry to turn on its head? Who would have thought we would be getting our weather reports from The Cut... Although even in these troubled times one can always count on at least a few things staying the same, in this case Daphne Guinness' practical approach to fashion: "You know, the last blizzard, in December, I wore these shoes and I walked twenty blocks in them, and then I tried to walk back and it was so cold. And my best friend Robin was like, You’re going to break your neck in those shoes. And I was sliding a bit, but I have a very steady walk." (When they said confidence would take you places they most likely meant A&E...)
Patiently waiting our turn on the other side of the Atlantic, we are wondering to what extent will snowstorms be the new streestyle trend. Just remember this latest lesson learnt from the A-list: when in doubt, tweet about the weather.
