Rachel Hurd-Wood has her breakthrough moment

Star of new Oscar Wilde film, Dorian Gray directed by Oliver Parker, the upcoming British actress not only got to pose with her (sexy) co-stars Mr.Darcy aka Colin Firth and Ben Chaplin last night, she got a whole new look too.

Joining the smouldering male actors Colin Firth and Ben Barnes in this gothic story of the search for eternal beauty and hedonism is new actress Rachel Hurd-Wood. Playing the film's key female role, Rachel stars as Sibyl Vane, the character Dorian Gray falls in love with, in the film that has its premiere in the UK this week.

As if it wasn't enough to see Rachel posing with her dashing co-stars, the actress was also snapped in an A-List's requisite designer outfit. Her fall/winter D&G dress and shoes were however kept firmly on the ground by her best friend who according to our sources told Rachel "her hair looked like a ‘bee’s nest" and "wanted to buy her a hair brush!" We only hope Rachel's best friend will stay by her side throughout her career - there's nothing an actress needs more than a friend with some honest sartorial advice.
