The readers ask, apparently after seeing some Italian designers migrating to Paris for Couture, they are wondering why Dolce&Gabbana doesn't do the same.

Oui, Hello!
I am a great Dolce and Gabbana fan. I was wondering if the rumors were true. Is Dolce&Gabbana coming to Haute Couture. Living in Paris I always feel bad when I don't get to see important names in the fashion industry show what they've got on the field. Couture is such an important appointment in our agenda. So is it true? IS IT? :)
xoxo

Dear Mme,
Indeed we are surprised by the amount of letters we have been receiving regarding this question. Although we regret to inform you that Dolce&Gabbana will not be present with a collection at HC, we, the editorial team of Swide, would like to give our point regarding this question. Especially following the arrival of the here-attached letter from a Fashion journalist whose name we cannot reveal:
Dear Editorial Team,
we are trying to come-up with an exclusive story on Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's first Haute Couture Collection. [...]
It would be very helpful if you could send as some images, or forward us the press release at your convenience.
[...]
Best Wishes,

We are sorry to disappoint you but Dolce&Gabbana will not be presenting at Haute Couture Paris, however if the word Couture (aside from its legal connection to the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris - and a criteria that was established in 1945) defines the high-quality custom-fitted dresses - again in our modest opinion - we don't see a reason for Dolce&Gabbana to fly to Paris to demonstrate their proven skills. You only need to go to the link we present you with below to get a full overview of the Italian Couture that is so engrained in their collections. Couture is just another word - French word - to say Sartorialità. And we love how the "à" is as open as the future of Italian fashion in the world.
Best,
Swide's Editorial Team
