Sparking rumours of another installment of Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that she would like to reprise her role as ‘Carrie’ in order to give her career another boost. It’s no secret that the former darling of the small screen hasn’t had the easiest ride since stepping of the streets of New York, not that she hasn’t done it all before. Her earliest and most memorable role on the big screen was as Rusty Rodriguez in 1984’s ‘Footloose’ and had parts in countless popular films, throughout the 80s and 90s.

The last few years has seen her in various romantic comedies and this year sees her taking another go at the genre as well as having just starred as a voice character in the animation ‘Escape From Planet Earth’, which also stars Brendan Fraser.

This year sees the releases of ‘Married and Cheating’ that follows three different couples that share one thing in common: infidelity. All the drama and mishaps come to a head when their stories begin to connect during over a long weekend in New York. And Paris. And there you were thinking that her marriage to Matthew Broderick was on the rocks.

Also, coming up this year is ‘Mixtape’, a comedy that follows a girl who finds a mixtape belonging to the mother she never knew, using the obscure songs on the tape in an effort to understand what her mother was like… as much as this film is classed a s a comedy I am pretty sure that there’ll be tears before this one is through.

But I have a feeling that most of you just want to see her to step out in fashion as Carrie once again. Maybe it won’t be long until she does.
