No, Jennifer hasn’t been invited to London’s Number 10, Downing Street, but it’s reported that her tenth LP is in the making… but that’ll have to wait, as she’s gearing up to have another fling with film.

Give the woman a break! Contrary to what people believe, Jennifer Lopez is one hell of a hard working woman. The Hispanic lovely has just completed a tour, done the rounds on talk shows and then hinted at the promise of her tenth album release but, before that, she is taking a break from music to concentrate on her acting career… I mean?? Celebrities usually announce that they’re taking a break from the limelight, not that they are leaving one light in exchange for another.
Lopez has always kept one foot in the film industry and was last seen on the big screen lending her voice to the Ice Age franchise as Shira in 2012. 2013 sees her going back into action/thriller films and will be starring alongside Jason Statham, an actor who has been ass-kicking his way through cinema for the last decade or so. But she isn’t only going to be starring in films this year, she is also going to be involved in other ways. Lopez is turning her hand, yet again, to producing and is currently working on two films, ‘The Fosters’ and self-penned docu-film ‘Jennifer Lopez: Dance Again’.
Although you wouldn’t expect it, Jennifer Lopez is just as highly sought after for film as she is music, making a handsome $15million dollars for each film that she makes. You would understand why if you looked at the Box Office figures, which usually rake in over double than the original budget. You didn’t expect that, hey?
Her last LP ‘Love?’ (2011) followed her least commercially successful release, ‘Brave’ (2007) and saw the star return to form, offering up some of the moves that she is famous for. Not bad for a mother of 43. When she was on Jimmy Kimmel recently, she showed up wearing a slinky nude number, much to the pleasure of the host and audience… not all women can pull of a look like this and Jennifer did it as only J.Lo can.
So what can we expect from the tenth album? Well, Jennifer had this to say:
“I’m going to focus on films right now. I’m working on a new album, but I feel like I have more time on that. I might do a Christmas album. This is going to be my 10th album. It has to be great or I’m not putting it out. I’m never not working on music.”
So, a Christmas themed album, hey? Please don’t Jennifer, we know how these things turn out.
