Spring is the most special time of year, where nature demonstrates its miraculous qualities and resurfaces from the unyielding winter months. A light breeze, warm sunshine, bright colours paint our days with happiness and positive energy. From these qualities the Dolce&Gabbana Make up Bouquet Collection is born.
The colours and mood of Spring are further emphasised by the Italian inspiration behind the collection and the fresh beauty of the Bouquet Collection’s patroness: Felicity Jones. Shot by fashion photography masters Mert &Marcus, exuberance, fun, Mediterranean flair and beauty are immortalised in an iconic campaign.
The Bouquet Collection is developed for a full make up look: eye pencils, eye shadows, lip glosses and nail varnishes.
For
the eyes, the Bouquet Collection references those bright vintage colours we have
learned to love. Light Green, Blue, Violet and Light Pink make up the Eyeshadow
Smooth Eye Colour quad (€49) can be worn on their own or together for a dramatic
statement. To complete the flirtatious gaze, there are six shimmery eyeliners,
Agave and Lilac, and the highlighter, Shimmer, as well as fashion shades of
Lemon, Mint and Acqua. The legendary texture of the Crayon Intense (€21) makes
for a smooth application and soft shading.
To
complement the strong colour statements of the Bouquet Collection, natural,
glossy lips are essential. For the summer season, the Dolce&Gabbana Ultra
Shine Lip Gloss (€26) are sensual shimmery, natural shades which range from
palest Acqua, through to silver pink Shimmer, peach-toned Innocence, frosted
Pink Diamond and fruity Raspberry, each adding natural colour and voluptuous
gloss to the lips.
Spring
Summer 12 trends are lead by a general vintage feel, bon ton styles and
extremely feminine silhouettes. Gone are the days of colour blocking, as the
fashion requires colours to match, from the hat to the shoes. Take this matchy
matchy trend a step further and match your nail polish to your eye shadow. The
Bouquet Collection is rich in fashion nail varnishes with trendy colours. The
Intense Nail Laquer (€23) like Lilac, Rose Petal, Lemon, Acqua, Mint and Anise.
Make up artist and consultant for Dolce&Gabbana Make Up, Pat McGrath has developed the collection around one theme: “There’s something really uplifting about these colours. They make you feel as if you’re on holiday.” Go on, turn the clock forward, paint your nails and feel like you’re already on the beach.
