Therapy for the frazzled

Try relaxing with something other than a glass of red wine - it's time to try embrace something a little longer lasting than Starbucks.

We've tried hot baths filled with lavender, camomile and switching off the blackberry hours before bed - but as the year draws to a close, and Christmas looms on the horizon, we're feeling a little worn around the edges. When even our fave lotions and potions lose their impact. Although we've never dare admit it in public, desperate is a word that springs to mind - we need a problem fix before our hard earned complexion turns red.

With a touch of internet and friends in the know magic - our new must-have treatment is HE MU - (harmony in Chinese) that combines traditional Chinese medicine with a western input. John Tsagaris, a London based doctor of Chinese medicine, considered by U.K's Tatler magazine to be one of London's best private doctors, has created a treatment that is a combination of Zen Shiatsu, traditional acupuncture, oriental healing and Chinese herbal medicine.

The HE MU treatment starts with shiastsu body work to facilitate muscular and energy release giving the patient a sense of profound relaxation. This is then followed by accupuncture - to restore and maintain the balance of the body and mind, perfect for November when end of year deadlines loom, alongside the booking of Christmas trips, and organising parties.

If a constant energy flow is what you are looking for - it's time to try embrace something a little deeper than Starbucks. www.energybodies.co.uk
