It’s Summer, it’s sunny and it’s getting sweaty. But, not the sexy kind of sweaty, sadly, and Mood Swings is feeling the burn.
As soon as the first inkling of the heatwave that is still suffocating Milan
was perceived, people felt the compelling urge to start posting irritating
pictures of themselves at the beach or on the edge of a pool with the sole
purpose of doing just that - irritate those who are stuck in the city. According
to my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds, most of my friends appear to be
filthy rich and enjoying their villas in exotic locations, sipping piña coladas
on the poolside while I try to extricate my shoes from the melting tar.
Speaking of Poolside, a good choice to what to listen to while sipping your
damned piña colada is this Californian duo whose debut album "Pacific Standard
Time" has just been released (9th July).

Seems like we could be doing worse though - in the matter of melting tar, I read somewhere that in Washington there's been a problem of melting tarmac; a plane couldn't leave the airport because its wheels had sunk too deep into the liquefied surface of the runway. Given my luck I'll probably find myself knee deep into the street next time I'm waiting for the bus. I'll climb out and sweat some more while listening to this perfect summer evening tune by Moloko (Róisín Murphy, you know).

By the way, if all my Facebook friends have a villa with a swimming pool (as if…) why exactly is nobody inviting me? THANKS A BUNCH, "friends", I hope your guests all pee in that pool of yours. Here's one of the remixes of Sneaky Sound System's "Friends". A remixes EP is soon to be released and will also contain an amazing remix by Beni. In the meantime enjoy the one done by Plastic Plates, once again proving why he's one of my favourite producers.
