5 songs to... bring on the Super Bowl

Apparently, the Super Bowl isn't only a chance for a pop singer to get on a stage with the whole US of A watching. No, it seems that there's also a certain amount of interest in a game of football (their football, you know, American football) that happens before and after the pop performance. Who knew?

But who I ask you, apart from maybe a few Americans, can name the two teams that are playing this Sunday? Anyone? Well, I bet you all know who's singing at half-time though.

Everyone remembers Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" in 2004 (I read somewhere that the episode was referred to as "Nipplegate". Really, people? Really?) But who can honestly say they know that the New England Patriots beat the Carolina Panthers that year? I thought as much.

Here are my 5 to get you in the mood for the Super Bowl this weekend. Bring on the STATESIDE!
