3 songs to.... prepare you for Easter Sunday

Mood Swings wants to prepare you for Easter Sunday and the festivities that this glorious day incorporates... eating chocolate being the main priority!

As a child, Easter was a great holiday. Loads of time off from school, chocolate everywhere and most of all the treasure hunt. I'm not sure if this is an Easter tradition or it's something my parents set up for us, but they'd hide chocolate eggs all around the house (or the neighbourhood if we were staying at my Grandma's in Positano); I loved it. The thrill and the sugar would keep me going for hours.

Just in case you're short of easter eggs at the moment, he's something else to get you going: Van She's new track is out, anticipating their new full length album due in July:

Van She - Idea of Happiness

We can all agree both children and adults don't care much for Easter egg surprises. Nothing too good can fit in there, and the really fun part is eating your way to it anyway. But there are some other surprises that can put a smile on your face: for example the twists and turns of Battles' first single off their debut album, 'Atlas', an alternative / post-rock masterpiece.

Battles - Atlas

The same can be said about Felix Martin's (Hot Chip) remix of The KDMS' 'Tonight'. When that bass line kicks in after the long intro, you can't but smile…and the synth-heavy final two minutes are just icing on top.
