Ke$ha wants us all to ‘Die Young’

You love her or you hate her; That is how the world reacts to the glitter smeared electo-sleaze-pop star, whenever she is up to her usual tricks. Well, soon you not going to be able to get away from her, as her comeback single ‘Die Young’ is almost ready to be unleashed.

Lady Gaga has her little monsters and Ke$ha has her faithful monsters, of who today were treated to the first look of the cover for the up and coming comeback single ‘Die Young’. Many have been quick to compare the wreath of flowers that the singer dons as a nod to the recent crooning that has dominated the charts via the likes of Lana Del Rey. And, yes, that is a valid observation but if we look closer you see that these flowers are the crowning jewels to a leather bondage and black rope ensemble. What else would you expect from a girl who’s been spewing glitter out of every faux-hipster orifice that she has since she burst on to the scene with Tik-Tok.

But, one that still seems to be true is that Ke$ha, whatever her market is, always appears to be herself. Something that people are often to criticise, especially for her vocals, which are no stranger to the use of a vocoder.  If you are one of those people, take a look at the video teaser that she dropped yesterday, showing her getting glares from passengers on the Tokyo underground.

Notice anything? Yep, live vocals that appear to have their own auto-tune… and we are not being deceived. Apparently, Ke$ha has a natural ‘fry’ effect, which gives the impression that she abuses the device. But, it would seem that we can get off our high horses and accept that the star can sing… as well as throw glitter drunkenly.

We also have a chance to hear the lyrics for ‘Die Young’:

“I hear you heart beat to the beat of the drums / Oh, what a shame that you came here with someone! / While you’re here in my arms / Let’s make the most of the night like we’re gonna die young / We’re gonna die young / We’re gonna die young!”

It is clearly going to be an anthem like those that were released before, ‘Take it Off’ and ‘We R Who We R’.

It’s due out next month and we are yet to hear more about the album that it’s been lifted off.

Exciting times!
