Here's the short movie directed by Justin Wu, starring Florrie with a new track off her latest EP: 'I Took A Little Something'.
Paris based fashion photographer and filmmaker, Justin Wu, was born and
raised in
Toronto, Canada, and now divides his time between Paris, New York and London.
Starting out as
an exhibited fine‐art photographer, Justin continually experiments with
different media and
currently focuses on developing short fashion films globally. Famous for his
light hearted fashion
week lip‐dub videos, he brings joy and a breath of fresh air to the industry.
Florrie is a 22 year old drummer, singer, songwriter and guitarist from the
UK. A completely
new type of independent artist, Florrie releases via her own label, despite
offers from major labels
in the UK and USA, in order to maintain complete creative control over her music
and build her
fanbase. ‘I Took A Little Something’ is taken from her second EP ‘Experiments’
which is released on
14th June. A fantastically diverse line‐up of brilliant tracks ranging from
thrillingly full‐on
electropop through to beautiful dreamy French disco‐pop, the EP underlines that
Florrie is one of
the most talented, exciting and imaginative young British artists at work right
now. The Guardian
has already said the EP contains some ‘sparkling pop moments’. Florrie’s earlier
releases have
gone down a storm with music blogs and influential music titles such as
Pitchfork, NME and The
Fader as well as online fashion sources like Vogue UK, Vogue Italy and Vogue
Turkey.
