Swide discovered the heavy optimism of Dead Times’ music earlier in September. Today, their back on our pages with the premiere of their new track Lush Lives.
When Swide came across the track Slow Burning Bliss on Italy’s music label, Bad Panda Records, there was an inkling that these L.A. based guys were onto something good... and, naturally, we were not wrong.
Since then, they've been building an impressive catalogue of electronic sounds and have gaining the attention of the world's music bloggers.
Whereas Slow Burning Bliss was an electronic track that throbbed with a sense of bleak warmth, the sound of Dead Times has evolved since then, placing them somewhere in between dark-pop, experimental R&B and 80s synth. There are also occasional moments of burnt out dubstep, giving their sound that extra bite that some other experimental R&B acts are missing.
