New Designers Live @Spiga2: Boys in the Band

We know the sound: 8 designers will dress 6 musicians on June 19th at Spiga2. Now meet the designers, especially the new glorious menswear. Umit Benan, Mallu…

It’s not the first time Fashion and Music meet. However, this time in this game, apparently for men only, will get to be live and alive. It’s dress up time! The designers will provide the musicians with 3 to 4 outfits to wear during the live performance. It’s also an occasion to launch the newest collections for the FW12 in the boutique. Meet the returning and newly met designers:

Returning brand Avelon stands for practicability and simplicity, Avelon from Holland does follow the school rules and offers for him and for her some neutral uniforms and shades. Classic cuts that follow bodylines. Clothing that expresses what you want to say only but firmly.

Ready made for a restless use. When preppy meets minimalist, you get a college sophisticated look that says oh boy! The man imagined my Komakino is someone who suddenly becomes aware of the society and its features, exploring the tensions between individuality and authority. Sharp tailoring recalling tribe codes for a very personal approach: wear the clothes as you wish and express yourself. www.komakinodesign.com

Mallu is the communion between art and research. Designer Mario Palmisano and Luca Giudici declare their passion for everything innovative through a synergy between materials and shapes. Designed for me who think outside the box. www.mallu.it

“The future is mine” is MSGM motto. Forget what you have seen before, this Italian fashion house is only about newness. For now and as promised, the specificities are in the cuts and the fabrics picked and mixed together. Daringly cared.

Sartorial with spirit. Umit Benan is known for his absolutely personal and character men’s collections, we cannot but hope that one day he will indulge in dressing women as well. The classic approach to a man’s wardrobe meets the best of accessories: personality. www.umitbenan.com
