A small country with great various talents, Denmark can be proud of Trentemøller, who is about to release his 2nd album.
Trentemøller has already performed in many music festivals such as Roskilde in Denmark or Glastonbury in the UK where he gained fans from the pop crowd as well as from the techno and house family.
He will release his second album Into the Great Wide Yonder on 7th June but already gave us an “avant-goût” with his single Sycamore Feeling unveiled earlier this month. This new album has been entirely produced under his own label In My Room and includes various collaborations: Danish singer-songwriter Marie Fisker, Fyfe Dangerfield from Guillemots, Solveig Sandness and Josephine Philip from the girl-duo Darkness Falls. Other creative talents have been involved for the visuals and other artwork such as Henrik Vibskov, Andreas Emenius, Jesper Just. Into the Great Wide Yonder mixes instruments: acoustic guitars, strings and bass mandolin.
This artist has now a sound of its own and Sycamore Feeling is just an indication on what to expect for the “plat de résistance”.
The single Sycamore is available since April 2010.
The Album Into the Great Wide Yonder is due to go out on 7th June 2010.
A US tour with a live band will follow this fall.
