Airlifted as opposed to chairlifted out of relative obscurity by Apple's Nano advert - the Williamsburg band Chairlift and ready to take a piece of the creative action around the world. Touring this summer (see the dates below - in the US they have NY dates with the Killers), Chairlift are riding the wave of Brooklyn's hot indie-pop and rock scene that gave birth to bands such as MGMT. See them play their cult track "Bruises" live at the recent SXSW festival.

Describing the Williamsburg scene to Cincinnati based blog - Each Note Secure, band member Aaron Pfenning agreed that,

"...there is definitely something going on here that you can’t quite put your finger on. From an outside perspective, I think it tends to be romanticized a bit because that’s kind of the nature of art and music. But what people don’t realize is that these artists and musicians work so hard to get where they are".

The threesome orginally hailing from Colorado, make a sophisticated and experimental type of pop alongside more low-brow synth-based tracks - that is the perfect cycling/jogging/ low-key hipster soundtrack you always want on your nano and yet never seem to have.
