A moment with Diane Birch

Diane Birch performed in Milan earlier this year. Swide went backstage and met with Diane for a few words…

Following Diane is like jumping on a roller coaster; despite her young age, she reveals a striking maturity. She seems to look at the world with her eyes wide open. From her childhood she has learned to adapt to different cultures, to say “hello” and “goodbye” sometimes too fast and to transform constraints to become her “creative fire" as she says. She got into music by learning to play piano, she did not have the intention to become a singer, and she simply fell into it. Destiny played its part as she realized she could sing and actually enjoyed it. A few my space demos later, she got discovered by a British manager and relocated to the UK before signing a contract with S Curves Record in New York where she now lives. She has recently released her first very promising album, Bible Belt.

On the road again, she confirmed last week the 23 cities for her North American headlining tour starting on May 12 in Los Angeles and finishing at the Bonnarco Music & Arts Festival in June 10… “Nothing can stop her now, she’s having a good time…”
