So, it looks like we made it. The world didn't end and Christmas was a success, so, now it's time to look forward into the new year and contemplate who or what will be big this year. Well, Mood Swings has got 3 feisty females for you.
Now that the festivities are over, it's time to get back to business: new year resolutions have been made and promptly forgotten, your hangover should be starting to abate and 2013 is full of promise. Here's a little preview of what we can expect to see and hear this year, musically speaking.
Cher will be releasing her 26th (that's TWENTY-SIX) studio album in March. She gave us a preview of what we can expect with the single 'Woman's World', a '90s inspired club-oriented track (sigh), characterised by big beats and her signature vocals.

Lady Gaga has yet to announce a release date for her third album, ARTPOP. She has been throwing the name around on social media for nearly a year now, and has promised that the record will be a digital experience with a dedicated app, so I'm expecting some sort of social capabilities will be implemented too (Gaga really likes her social networking). The track 'Stache', apparently from the album, was "leaked" a few months ago…not a very credible security breach, as Gaga was monitoring the situation via her Twitter account. She maintains her signature dancefloor appeal and adds a touch of techno to the mix:

Word on the street is Beyoncè is working on her new album
too: not much is known at this point, but apparently shes's had enough of being
a stay-at-home mum (if that was ever the case) and maybe we can hope for a new
tour as well.
While we wait, enjoy this beautiful cover of her hit 'Crazy in Love' by
Antony & The Johnsons.
