It’s back, Men’s Fashion FW13, and Mood Swings has noticed that there is a new fashion follower emerging… the model groupie. Here’s 3 songs for those on the hunt.

keep up with the model groupies
Fashion week is upon us yet again, and yes, it’s the male fashion week, which means there lots of eye candy going around town. Make sure you’re not found unprepared: these are the days in which hussying up is an absolute must…you never know who you might meet on the tram.
To say the truth things have gotten a little out of control…must be the internet’s fault, but during the last male fashion week I saw hordes of girls waiting for models outside the shows, cameras in hand and mustering the courage to walk up to Francisco Lachowski to ask to take a picture. Maybe I’ve been out of the loop, but male model groupies are news to me (but not completely unexpected).
So this week’s selection is dedicated to the boys of MFW and their eternal hunt for “the” party.
The first track is a club hit by Belgian producer A.N.D.Y., formerly known as Mustang. He has been doing some truly great remixes (what is it with Belgians lately?!) and has recently dropped his first single, ‘Pump it up’.

The second suggestion is one of the best club tracks from the past year, produced by LA duo Oliver and published on Kitsuné. It’s called ‘Dirty Talk’. The reason I chose it is open for interpretation.

This week’s final track isn’t a club hit but rather something you’d listen to walking home from your night out, or waking up the next day. A truly beautiful track by STRFKR, a group hailing from Portland (another place where lots of great stuff happens, apparently), called ‘Reptilians‘: aliens, just like the models. STRFKR’s new album ‘Miracle Mile‘ is out the 19th of February, don’t miss it.

Swide’s darling Ben Taylor initiated a Christmas tradition of our own last year by suggesting ten new ways to approach Christmas songs (find it here ) and maybe even get that boring family gathering to start tapping feet and moving hips. The tradition goes on this year too, ‘cause by now Gran is going to…
