The project is an ambitious one: try to find a way to give a voice to the young artists who have something to say but don't know where to say it, which is, don't have space to display their works. IL CREPACCIO ("the crevasse") - this is the name of the project, a pun on the location where works are displayed - at the restaurant Il Carpaccio (which means thinly sliced meat, Via Lazzaro Palazzi 19) in Milan. Using the backspace of the window of the restaurant, the artists display their works while the public sip a glass of wine,  grab a bite and, of course, talk to the artist. Next appointment is on Wednesday June 27th, with Thomas Braida, 30 years old, who has revealed (a bit of) himself to Swide before you get to see his art live.

The Smiths are the ones who come to mind first.

Danza Macabra.

When did you understand you wanted to be an artist?

When I already was.

 

Where are you from? Where do you live? Which are the places you love to go to?

I come from a small town in Friuli but I lived for a long time in Venezia, and I love to stop by once in a while. And then Rome, il Pigneto.

When you don't paint, how do you spend your time?

I read and I imagine.

Peasant, but there is still time to do it.
