Samsara: travelling without moving

5 years, 25 countries, 100 filming locations: from the director and cinematographer of Baraka (1992) Ron Fricke, a visually stunning non verbal movie that will open your eyes on the beauty of the world.

It will be completely devoid of dialogue and text, but you can be sure you won't be bored: first film in nearly twenty years by director Ron Fricke, Samsara was shot over a period of 5 years entirely on 70mm film, featuring 5 countries and 100 film locations.

Fricke, who previuously directed Baraka (1992), is now releasing in U.S. on August 24th Samsara, a Sanskrit word that means the "ever turning wheel of life", the starting point to basically recount lives around the world without using words.

Visually stunning, the movie is a continuous sequence of images, as you can see from the HD trailer that you have to watch full-screen. The power of the images speak itself with no need of explanation or description.

A relieving and revealing work of art in a world of blogs and Social Media where, sometimes, we overspeak/overwrite way too much.
