Spiga 2 is an innovative project headed by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Now in its third year, the boutique in central Milan, Via Spiga specializes in distributing a pick of promising emerging designers.
Dolce&Gabbana want to support emerging talents by giving them visibility and retail space in an area they would fins difficult to penetrate at the start. This season we’ll focus on some of our favourites. This week: RossoRame.
Bruno Simeone and Daniele Del Genio are the two heads behind RossoRame. Simeone studied fashion at the Accademia di Costume e Moda in Rome and later went to work at Alessandro Dell’Acqua. Del Genio studied management and worked as a consultant for various businesses until in 2011 they become RossoRame together.
Their collections are a harmonic fusion between couture and prêt a porter. Well-studied outfits are made richer with sophisticated details such as hand embroidery or unusually constructed outerwear. The RossoRame collection’s distinguishable marks are a retro feel with high quality materials and structures.
