The Spiga 2 Dolce&Gabbana boutique is a launch platform for talented up and coming designers. For SS12, Dolce&Gabbana have selected an exciting collection of talented youngsters. Featured from the roster this week: Andrea Pompilio.

Andrea was born in Pesaro in a creative family: his mother is a painter and his father is an architect. Already at the age of 8 he knew what he wanted to be when he grew up: A fashion designer. Andrea got a BA in fashion from the Art Institute in Pesaro and then went onto Marangoni for his MA in 1995.

After leaving Marangoni Andrea worked for a handful of internationally renowned designers such as Prada and Yves Saint Laurent, where he developed his sensitivity and sophistication. In 2010 Andrea launched he eponymous menswear collection.
