The Spiga 2 Dolce&Gabbana boutique is a launch platform for talented up and coming designers. For SS12, Dolce&Gabbana have selected an exciting collection of talented youngsters. Featured from the roster this week: Fani Xenophontos.

Cypriot designer Fani Xenophontos got her BA in fashion at Esmod in Paris and her MA from Central Saint Martins in London. After her studies Fani consolidated her talent at Christian Lacroix and Kenzo as well as collaborating in her family’s textile business.

Fani’s love of leather, attention to detail and artful mix of innovation and tradition have earned her many successes. Fani has collaborated on various projects, from designing costumes for the presentation of the Aston Martin Vanquish at the Geneva Moto Show in 2004 to designing the Cypriot Olympic team’s kits. Madame Figaro has named her Designer of the year in 2011 and she has earned a cult following, from the Oscars’ red carpet to the guided halls of Royal Palaces.
