Swide Festival's backstage Campioni, by Tomaso Fasola

Tomaso Fasola goes behind the scenes at the Campioni shoot for Swide Festival and looks to discover what is behind these champions, finding themselves in the unusual situation of modelling.

Tomaso is a freelance motion designer and director. In 2012 he founded with Maria Elena Tiacci the Momento Produzioni snc based in Milan. He loves to: project, analyze, criticize and solve.

The moment of the click of the camera, where the Campioni find themselves interpreting a role that’s not theirs, that of the model: looks, movements, hidden expression which are then exposed, a dance of colours and shapes, in which bodies and faces of the Campioni are revealed in their beauty and truth.

Almost as to x ray the football players in order to see what they’re feeling inside, Tomaso Fasola’s video for Swide Festival is poignant and concentrates on small movements, which reveal a very human side to these modern day gladiators.
