A chic dimension with Igor Josifov

Get yourself in a surreal only 2 dimensional performance. When 3 becomes 2. Walk on a human body that appears flat like a leave.

Walking on somebody is no longer a crime but a Walk of Art thanks to Macedonian born artist Igor Josifov. Our man, Igor, takes the opportunity of the about to open Chic Art Fair in Paris to let you step on him. Step by step watch his expressions and question the role of perspective. No step out, you are on and how does it feel? Well at first totally unnatural especially if you are alone, but if you are in a middle of a group you will discover that you can forget that you are walking on somebody and walk as you would do on the street. A lively art scene that should make you wonder how too often you miss what you are stepping on. The world around is not only a great and cool picture, it is your personal view and take on it, as much as you might be vulnerable, the power of transformation is in your hand. So join the hands to the steps.

More about Igor Josifov…
Igor Josifov was born in 1986 Kavadarci, Macedonia. He now lives between San Francisco and New York. In 1999, Josifov went to the School For Applied Arts “Lazar Licenoski” Skopje (Macedonia). He then studied in California at the Academy of Art University SanFrancisco in 2008. Josifov is famous for the diversity in his multiple works and the way he uses the Human body to share his views and messages about our contemporary world. As a performance artist he uses all types of media to create his performances and to express himself. His works seem to all have a touch of theatricality, being quite striking visuals offering various metaphoric meanings.

“ My work is based on psychoanalysis through perception and experiences of the world and the reality of culture, morals, and ethics. The subject of my work deals with death, loss, finding the self and social commentary. I have come to a level where the most important and primary medium is my body.” (Igor Josifov).
