The 00s were awash with indie music and bands called The Kooks, The Killers, The Cribs, The… anything. This was also a decade when indie electro filled the clubs. Here are 3 from Mood Swings
Of all the genres out there, doing an EDM remix of a rock or indie-rock track is probably one of the hardest you can choose, if only for the large tempo difference that there is bound to be between the two different versions and the different "feel" it's probably going to gain when passing from one genre to another.
Monarchy have made a great pass at the job (as usual) by remixing 'Lights' by Josh Beech and the Johns, giving it a definite dancefloor friendly beat without forsaking those guitar riffs that provide that indie feeling.

Another great remix was done by Moullinex on Two Door Cinema Club's 'I Can Talk': with a bouncy nu-disco bass line he turned an indie smasher into a balearic dream.

Third up is probably the most famous "indie" remix of the past decade: Soulwax's remix of Gossip's 'Standing in the way of control' has been played in clubs worldwide for years, and it will get most crowds dancing even today (like most of Soulwax's remixes usually do). It's a really smart remix because it doesn't really differ much from the original track except for a more upbeat tempo, a harder bass line, a great bridge to keep the crowd hanging (without it getting bored, since you can sing along with Beth Ditto) and smart synth effects to give it a more electronic feel.
